I have been dreaming about weddings my whole life, and for over a year I poured my heart into planning not just my wedding but our wedding. Along the way I fell in love with the wedding industry.
With 15 years of experience in marketing, from event planning to web development and graphic design, I thought I had everything under control. But the week of our wedding I picked up my dress only to discover it had been completely mis-sewn, crooked, and honestly awful. The seamstress refused to help, and I suddenly found myself buying 20 new dresses in just a few days, only to choose one just 2 minutes before the ceremony.
Since we decided not to hire a wedding coordinator because, well, I work with events, our day still looked picture-perfect with all the details and a mix of rustic, boho, and disco bloom vibes. But it came with more stress than I ever could have imagined.
That experience, the “day of chaos” as we now call it, showed me that weddings should be filled with love and play, not panic. I do not want anyone else to experience that stress on their special day. So after our chaotic wedding, I started Wedding Couture by Malin. I am building it into a one-stop shop for couples who want their day to look and feel unforgettable, while being planned calmly and beautifully.
